The International Exhibition of Fine Watchmaking in Geneva 2019

The International Exhibition of Fine Watchmaking in Geneva will open its doors from January 14 to 17, 2019. It is at the SIHH that the brands present world premieres their horological creations, fruits of research often long and demanding. It is also there that it is possible to get to know creators, watchmakers and designers. After a successful 2018 edition, with 35 exhibiting brands, 20,000 visitors and 1,500 accredited journalists, the SIHH continues its prosperity: in 2019 the watchmaking fair will be open only four days with refurbished schedules, and will include only one new exhibitor brand, with the arrival of Bovet within the historic homes. On the other hand, Van Cleef & Arpels chose to give up his stand. An update was made with Fabienne Lupo, president of the Haute Horlogerie Foundation.
You may be asking yourself why they choose to move to four days instead of the usual five, well, because it came from a statement of the exhibiting houses. There was a desire to optimize time, to have a more sustained pace, more condensed, over four days. But the duration of the SIHH will not change, since we will play on the opening beaches: the show will close at 20 hours. We even planned a night on Thursday night until 10 pm to welcome the public. In addition, brands will always have the opportunity to invite VIP visitors on Sunday evening before the official opening.
